For those that don't know me, I'm Taylor Kay Stevens, a speaker, performance life coach and also the author of Ticket To Freedom! For years I was a professional figure skating coach and trained high-level competitors all over the world alongside my husband who was a former Olympic skater. I've built and run several of my own successful businesses as well as currently being an Argentine Tango dance performer. The thing, is I know what it takes to be in peak performance to win, and I also know what it's like to lose. It can leave you devastated and just scraping by. This leads to sickness, destroys relationships, can even cause you to pack on weight, kills your confidence for succeeding at anything and affects every area of your life. You see, the stress and frustration of everyday life can knock you down so hard you don't think you can ever get back up. Trust me, I know because it's happened to me numerous times.
I’m no stranger to tragedy, adversity or obstacles and I have a PhD in hitting rock bottom. In 1986, I came home and found my husband dead from a heart attack, I had a complete emotional breakdown and found myself looking down the barrel of a 22-pistol wanting to end it all. I experienced the loss of a successful coaching career, was 40 pounds overweight and ended up homeless for a while. In 1998, I hit bottom and took my last drink of alcohol. In 2005 my life was a complete mess. I was in ICU with a near-death experience, was overweight, five years behind to the IRS as a self-employed person, had no business or savings, was in $100,000 worth of debt with a credit score of 538 and suicidal.
After making a comeback with rebuilding my business, paying off most of the debt and getting caught up on my taxes, I found myself $30,000 further in debt. I was also on an emotional roller coaster, dealing with severe insomnia, Hormone imbalance, Adrenal fatigue, Candida, depression and I had a major sugar addiction. It was time for a transformation. I was able to finally get my health turned around and pay off my debt.
One thing I learned through all of this is that I needed to start being proactive instead of being reactive to other people and situations, so I could get control of my life instead of being out of control. I also learned that how and where I spent my time as well as how the people around me, situations and activities affected my life, my health, business and bank account. I realized that I had complete control over the choices I made, and every choice had a consequence. After reading books, buying programs and working with coaches, I still wasn’t getting the results that I wanted. I needed something that really worked and gave me lasting change.
I figured out that it took more than just motivation and inspiration to get unstuck, back on track and moving forward. That’s when I developed my own practical, proven and powerful techniques. These easy and simple systems and methods enabled me to fix and overcome all the challenges I faced as well as completely transform my life. These are the same things I’ve used to help my clients get amazing results, create miracles and change their lives.
No matter how many times I was knocked down, a little part of me was still standing up on the inside. I have a 100% track record for making it through every bad day and tough situation no matter what.
